Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially released Advertisement Notification No. 14 of 2025 (dated 31-12-2025) for recruitment to 487 vacancies in the Home Department, J&K.
Eligible candidates possessing a valid J&K Domicile Certificate and fulfilling all eligibility conditions as prescribed in the notification can apply online through the JKSSB official website.
This recruitment drive is a major opportunity for JKSSB aspirants preparing for Home Department exams 2026. Below are the complete and updated instructions for submitting the JKSSB online application form.
Candidates must submit their application only through online mode. No offline or other mode of application will be accepted.
Candidates must apply through the JKSSB official website – www.jkssb.nic.in only.
Applicants are required to register on the portal by clicking on “Login (Apply on Various Posts)”.
For new registration, candidates must have a valid email ID and mobile number. Click on “New User / Sign Up” and complete OTP-based verification.
If OTP is not received, use “Get Activation Code” option.
Candidates should use the username generated during registration (not email ID) for future logins.
After login, candidates must complete OTR (One-Time Registration).
Once OTR is completed, go to Active Advertisements → Apply for the relevant Home Department posts.
Carefully fill all required details and click on “Save & Continue”.
Upload Live Photograph strictly as per specifications mentioned in Annexure ‘A’.

Upload a clear signature (size between 10 KB to 20 KB).
Upload a valid category certificate (issued before cut-off date) in PDF format (max 100 KB).
Upload requisite qualification certificates in PDF format (max 100 KB).
Candidates must verify all details before final submission.
👉 Once submitted, the JKSSB application form cannot be edited.
Any incorrect or incomplete information may lead to rejection. Category benefits will be considered only if valid certificates are uploaded within the cut-off date.
Applications without successful fee payment will not be considered.

After form submission, click on “Pay Now” and ensure the fee status shows “Submitted” on the dashboard.
No hard copy of the application form is required at this stage.
However, shortlisted candidates must produce documents during Document Verification (DV).
In-service candidates must submit:
Printed application form
Duly filled, signed & stamped certificate (as mentioned in application)
Through proper channel
Candidates must mention Payee Name and Account Number while submitting any payment-related representation.
Candidates must carefully fill preferences for Item Nos. 323 & 324 during application.
Applicants are advised to submit the JKSSB online application well before the last date to avoid server issues due to heavy traffic.
