Class 9 Eligibility Criteria:
Age: Candidates must be between 13 and 15 years old as of March 31, 2026. Birthdate should be between April 1, 2011, and March 31, 2013.
Educational Qualification: Applicants must have passed Class 8 from a recognized school before admission.

Subjects for Class 9: Mathematics, Science, English, Social Science, and General Knowledge.
Medical Examination and Counseling: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a medical examination and counseling for final admission.
Reservation for Girls:
RMS: 10% of seats or up to 30 vacancies across all five schools are reserved for female candidates.
Sainik Schools: Girls are also eligible for Class 6 and Class 9 admissions, with reservations as per government guidelines.

Sainik School Scheme of Examination for Class IX
The Sainik School entrance exam for class IX comprises five sections, namely, Mathematics, Intelligence, English, General Science, and Social Science. Students need to pass each section individually in order to clear the written examination. They should score a minimum of 25% in each subject and a minimum aggregate of 40%. The detailed pattern is as follows:
